We are looking for a QA Engineer

The QA Engineer will work in a fast moving, collaborative, cooperative, cross-disciplinary team environment to ensure the highest quality experience to delight and dazzle our players.

What do our QA Engineers do?

  • Reporting to the Lead QA and Release Manager, work with them to test Vampire Survivors on all platforms.

  • Ensure our game has been put through its paces in both a set structure as well as free forming creative testing.

  • Follow games industry best practices and processes.

  • Work with the Dev team, helping regress issues images, videos and save files.

  • You're constantly learning new methods and technologies whilst investigating new techniques and tools.

  • Ensuring that relevant test plans are followed and updated when new functionality is added in game. 

  • Reporting and tracking issues to improve the game update process. This will involve looking at Steam Forum, Discord, Reddit and other social platforms from the community.

What do we look for in a QA Engineer?

  • Have an understanding of games and being a fan of video games is a basic entry level requirement.

  • Know how computers tick, and have an endless passion for trying new techniques and finding better ways of doing things.

  • Experience with at least one previously released game in a role focusing on manual testing for game development.

  • Knowledge of ticket tracking systems (Jira, Click Up, etc.)

  • ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing is a nice to have but is not mandatory.

  • Can communicate with both programmers and other team members from other disciplines.

  • A self starting, problem solving, initiative and can-do attitude.

  • Our tech stack is a combination of Unity game engine and our own codebase, it's not a requirement that you can program, but knowing how to read code would be a plus.

  • Candidates must reside in the UK for this position.
